It's time for our weekly catch up with the small cap sector. This week, Share Radio's Juliette Foster was joined in the studio by Matthew Tonge and Victoria Stevens from Lion Trust. They are two members of a four person team which looks after the Lion Trust UK Smaller Companies Fund and Liontrust UK Micro Cap fund.
Market and economics indicators have been closely watched since the historic EU referendum vote on the 23rd of June. Perhaps most closely watched of all has been the performance of small cap companies as they adjust to a new reality.
Joining Juliette Foster on the line for more on this was David Thornton, Editor of Growth Company Investor, a monthly publication which focuses on stocks all AIM stocks plus the FTSE small cap.
It is that time of the week where we focus on the small cap sector. This week we have an expert in the field with over 30 years experience. His name is Gervais Williams, he is from Miton Group and he manages a range of funds which aggregate to 1 billion pounds which includes the Miton UK MicroCap fund. He has also written the book "The Future is Small" and he spoke to Juliette Foster in the studio.
This is our latest Small Cap Investor segment, this week with Lord Lee of Trafford, Britain's first Isa millionaire.
He sat down with our Senior Analyst Ed Bowsher and they began by discussing what impact brexit has had on the stock market so far.
A look at the world of European smaller companies, as I'm joined in the studio by a leading European fund manager, Francesco Conte of JPMorgan.
Francesco manages three funds that invest in European smaller companies including the JP Morgan European smaller companies fund.
It's our small cap investor slot and our guest this week is John Lee, his more formal name is Lord Lee of Stafford, and he became the first ISA millionaire back in 2003. Since then, the value of his portfolio has since gone over the four-million-pound mark. He's also been a columnist in FT, an MP, and is now Liberal Democrat peer. He spoke to Share Radio’s Ed Bowsher.
