The newest phone scam could swindle you, simply by answering the question, 'Can you hear me?'
A new phone scam has been hitting the headlines lately. People are being warned to hang up their phones if someone asks ‘can you hear me?’. The supposed con started in the US last month with experts warning it is set to sweep the UK with fraudsters tricking people into saying ‘yes’ to swindle you out of huge amounts of money. But is this a genuine threat? Tony Neate is the CEO of the organisation Get Safe Online and joined Sarah to explain more.

To go through all the political headlines this morning, Sarah Pennells was joined by political journalist Natasha Clark. And the story of the Brexit bill rumbles on. Reports have been circulating that Ministers expect MPs to reject changes made by the House of Lords. Liam Fox has said it would be bad for the UK if the country failed to secure a Brexit deal with the European Union. But Boris Johnson has said leaving the EU without a deal on Brexit would be 'perfectly OK'.

Carrying out financial transactions on your desktop and other such traditional methods are more susceptible to cybercrime than using your mobile. That’s according to research by security technology company Threatmetrix, which shows one million cyberattacks targeted online lending transactions in 2016. Cyber fraud expert from Threatmetrix, Dr. Stephen Moody, spoke to Share Radio’s Anviksha Patel to discuss the research further.

Last month the Co-operative Bank put itself up for sale because it hasn't managed to improve its finances in the way it needs to. There's no immediate threat to the Co-op Bank, and the The Co-operative Bank has been at pains to say that it is not abandoning its principles. But what is the future for the bank and what are the alternatives if you want to bank somewhere that does have some principles.
