Motley Fool Money: Fall 2021 - Investing Preview
The S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow Jones Industrial Average have each risen more than 15% so far this year. How should investors feel about the rest of 2021? Which stocks should be on a short leash? What capital allocation strategies should Berkshire-Hathaway and Chipotle be considering? Andy Cross and Jason Moser answer those questions, make business predictions about acquisitions and CEO changes, and share two stocks on their radar: Digital Ocean and PayPal. Plus, as the trial of Elizabeth Holmes begins, we revisit our conversation with Alex Gibney about the rise and fall of Theranos and his documentary ‘The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley’.

This Is Money: Are you a mover, a flipper or a forever-homeowner?
Among its many surprises, the coronavirus pandemic has delivered a property boom. In pretty much the exact opposite of what all the experts thought was going to happen the property market has hit fever pitch over the past year and a bit, with more people moving and house prices soaring. But amid all the fuss, which property tribe are you in? Are you a mover – for whom the grass always looks a bit greener, perhaps in a house with extra space, more bedrooms, a bigger garden, or with a slice of the country life or even a prime location in the city? Or would you choose to be a flipper, happy to buy and sell regularly to try to make some money and climb the ladder quicker – maybe doing places up and turning ugly ducklings into swans as you go along? Or is your chief desire to be a forever-homeowner, the kind of person who wants to either stay put where you are forever, or find the one place you can do that and then stop moving. Georgie Frost, Helen Crane and Simon Lambert take a look at the property market tribes and how they are driving the market, from those who love to move, to those chasing a quick buck, and those whose sole desire is to find the perfect place to stay put. Also, the team discuss how to learn from your investing mistakes rather than beat yourself up over them. And take a look at both sustainable banking and investing and what that means, and why the new greener E10 petrol is causing a kerfuffle

The Financial Outlook for Personal Investors: Why investing in shares needs a much higher profile on TV and Radio
Lord John Lee has become a champion for people investing in the stock market over recent years: he's written three books on investing, he's a patron of ShareSoc, the society for individual shareholders in the United Kingdom, and he's now challenging Government, broadcasters and regulators to encourage a much higher profile for investing in shares on TV and radio. Gavin Oldham meets with John to discuss the background to his initiative and his proposals for change; and they go on to consider how customer share ownership can be expanded, how to encourage more active participation in shareholder voting, and how to improve financial education

Gadgets & Gizmos: Zero Emission Cars
As Simon Rose takes a well-earned break, we re-visit a programme first broadcast in March 2017 when Share Radio was a national DAB station. From April 2017, zero emission cars have been the only vehicles exempt from road tax. Despite growing interest and increasing pressure to move away from polluting vehicles many were still reluctant to make the jump. So just what are zero emissions cars and what should you consider when making the switch from petrol? Tom Hill looks at the current state of zero emissions technology and the challenges facing the industry hearing from a range of experts and commentators

The Bigger Picture: A World of Individual Opportunity - the Vision of Egalitarian Capitalism
Imagine a world in which everyone has a stake in the great tech firms that serve them each day, and where dividends are gradually replacing wages to provide regular income for everyone, as work becomes scarcer as a result of automation? Imagine a world where every young person not only has a small inheritance with which to start their adult life, but also the opportunity to build its value by learning life skills? Simon Rose is taking a well-earned break this week, so we’re taking the opportunity to bring you a talk given Gavin Oldham in August to the leading City of London think-tank Z/Yen.

The Business of Film: The top ten Westerns
With Simon Rose taking a well-earned break, we re-visit 'The Westerns' from our top ten reviews. Vicky Sayers is joined by film critic and broadcaster, James Cameron-Wilson, to discuss some of the most influential films from the Western genre. Incredibly popular during the silent film era, the Western was revived in 1939 with John Ford’s 'Stagecoach', and reached its peak in the 1950s. But are its best days really behind it?

The Financial Outlook for Personal Investors: Sainsbury's & Supermarkets and Paypal & Cryptocurrencies
Laith Khalaf, head of investment analysis at A J Bell, looks at the rumours of a bid for Sainsbury's. In the light of the bidding for rival supermarket chain Morrison's, he asks whether private investors should rethink their attitude towards the sector. He also looks at a new service from Paypal allowing UK consumers to trade and hold cryptocurrencies. With a potential (not yet offered in Britain) to process crypto transactions between consumers, he wonders if such a transactional facility is any more than just a sales gimmick.
