It comes as the national debt has spiralled this year as the Government spent more than £280billion tackling the pandemic and its financial fallout, with Chancellor Rishi Sunak claiming the 'economic emergency' has only just begun. How would it work, could it be a good idea and how unpopular would it prove? Simon Lambert, Lee Boyce and Georgie Frost take a look. Elsewhere, millions of mortgage payment holidays have been handed out since March - an agreement with lenders to help homeowners during the coronavirus crisis. But for one couple who extended the payment holiday, it turned into a credit report headache when they looked to downsize. In the property market, a new report suggests that stamp duty savings are now being wiped out by house price gains in recent months. Should investors run to the hills if one of the companies that you are invested in or are tempted by has a big pension scheme? And lastly, we give yet another update on the port fiasco in Britain, with the perfect storm of coronavirus, Brexit and Christmas.

There are also useful suggestions on lifestyle choices that can further boost the immune system.

Adam works with a lady in the US that wanted to lose body fat. Although she'd tried different diets over the years she was feeling unable to stick to anything that would actually work. Adam creates a hypnosis session that is designed to make her feel able to make choices again about what to eat and the impact of eating foods that are low-glycemic. This session helps to prompt decisions that trains the body to burn fat rather than forcing the body to lose fat and in doing so enables the mind to perceive excess body fat as a pantry filled with foods and stored energy.

Adam Cox is joined by mind coach and podcaster, Zoe Turner. Zoe talks about why she became a mind coach, and what benefits meditation can have on mental health. She also discusses what can cause poor mental health, and offers some tips to encourage positive mental health and wellbeing.

James Cameron-Wilson looks at the UK box office, shooting up 1,586%, but to a still-pitiful level. He reviews the new Netflix David Fincher film Mank about the making of Citizen Kane, which is already tipped for awards glory. His favourite of the week though is a more modest piece starring Paul Bettany called Uncle Frank. And he looks at the much-admired Australian teen drama Babyteeth, just out on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Political commentator Mike Indian discusses the progress of the last-ditch attempts to reach a Brexit agreement, asking who is responsible for the statemate. As the Covid vaccine begins its roll-out, he asks if 2021 shouldn't be seen as a chance to assess the way government, institutions and society works in the UK and make some big changes. And, picking perhaps an unlikely political Star of the Year, he looks across the Atlantic at what might happen when President Biden becomes the new occupant of The White House.
