Consuming Issues: Would you ever try eating insects? Listen to Constance Deseine, from Jiminis
Eating insects for nourishment is not a novel idea and has never became common in Modern Europe…until now perhaps? There is a need, as by the year 2050, the planet's population is estimated to be around nine billion people, so we'll need to find another source of protein other than animals and food stuffs like beans cheese and eggs. One company that is currently doing just that is from France and called Jiminis. It's appearing at the Good Food Show which starts Friday 20th for the weekend and it's highlighting fresh healthy ingredients. Constance Deseine, Director of Sales for Jiminis joins Georgie Frost to explain all.
