The dust has begun to settle on the Supreme Court ruling that parliament must vote on whether the government can start the Brexit process. Shortly after the ruling, David Davis, the UK's Brexit minister, promised a parliamentary bill within days. Sterling rose on the news, but has fallen back since, following the additional ruling that the UK's devolved assemblies will not have a veto on leaving the bloc. However, many investors are worrying that the old adage of what goes up must come down may apply in 2017 with some commentators speculating that the markets may indeed be overvalued.
