Psalm 150

Programme Information

This truly ethereal piece of choral singing opens live broadcasting each day as the York Minster Choir sing Psalm 150, written over 3,000 years ago. Sung to the wonderful music of George Surtees Talbot, the song celebrates the great gift of sound, delivered now through your radio and online. This is the traditional closing piece of the York Minster service for the General Synod of the Church of England at their meeting in York each July. You can imagine this beautiful piece of music echoing through the vaulted columns of the Minster as the Choir processes out, as the service ends.
