A Brexit balancing act: May heads to Davos
Theresa May is performing a Brexit balancing act. Earlier this week, May laid out her "clean break" from the EU, rejecting a "half in, half out" approach - single market access be damned. But whilst the Brexiteers were pleased - even Nigel Farage gave his blessing - today the Prime Minister faced a tougher crowd. At the World Economic Forum, in front of an international community weary of the cracks appearing in the global free trade project, May offered a reassurance: Brexit certainly means Brexit, but it won't mean a British retreat from the world. Can May have it both ways? Have the globalisers been convinced? Joining Simon Rose all the way from the belly of the beast itself is Steve Clarke, Share Radio's very own man in Davos.

Coming up on Share Radio: President Trump's Inauguration
The time has finally come: Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. After a campaign seemingly exempt from the rules adhered to by past White House contenders, the incoming tweeter-in-chief has left the Washington establishment scratching their heads. Now, America and the world will watch as Mr. Trump pledges to faithfully execute the highest office in the land. For an instant reaction to Trump’s inaugural address, Simon will be joined by Share Radio’s man on the ground Colin Blume, live from the ceremony itself. Simon will also be joined by Sanford Henry, US political commentator, to reflect on what lies in store for America in the Trumpian years ahead.

How should our schools equip young people for life in the wider world?
How should our schools equip young people for life in the wider world? As a supplement to traditional academic subjects, schools have dealt with life's more delicate topics through personal, social, health, and economic education - or PSHE. Caroline Lucas MP, Co-Leader of the Green Party, has been a long-time campaigner for such education - and today her renewed attempt at making PSHE a statutory requirement will be debated by Parliament. Share Radio's Alex Clark spoke to Caroline Lucas, and first asked how she understood PSHE.

Who are the 'elite'?
The world's rich and powerful have descended on Davos for the World Economic Forum - the 1%'s annual pilgrimage to the temple of globalisation. But, this year, a sense of unease will almost certainly shadow any worship at the altar, with the liberal world order having had not one but two slaps to the face from Brexit and then Trump. So, what exactly makes the global elite, well, elite? And what do they get up to behind closed doors? To find out, Share Radio's Alex Clark spoke to Daniel Levin, author of 'Nothing but a Circus: Misadventures among the Powerful'.
