The four indices had each closed at record highs every day for the past four trading days — a feat last achieved in June 1995, according to FactSet data. But the risk-on rally came to an end on Thursday as investors appeared to pause and take stock as they awaited more details on Donald Trump’s tax policies. To get a sense of the market mood at the end of another trading week, Nigel Cassidy was in the company of top Share Radio Breakfast analyst Chris Bailey of Financial Orbit.

WH Smith shares were up on a good trading update with sales of funny 'spoof books' helping the stationer. Shares in Restaurant Group, the company behind chains Frankie and Benny's and Garfunkel's, were down as it reported lower like-for-like sales last year. Tesco faces new lawsuit from US Investment firm, Manning & Napier, which is suing the supermarket over an earlier accounting irregularities. A major new report on the UK logistics sector has urged for land to be set aside for industrial space by the government, warning that a growing shortfall could crush out online retailers. More than 18million sq. ft. of new industrial space is needed annually to satisfy exponential e-commerce growth and demand from parcel delivery firms, says City law firm Addleshaw Goddard. A massive shortfall could see consumers having to pick up the tab for the higher cost of industrial space for retailers and couriers. To discuss this further, Leona Ahmed, Head of Real Estate at law firm Addleshaw Goddard, joined Share Radio Breakfast.

Japan's government to forecast economy growth of around 1.5 percent
Japan's government is set to forecast real economic growth of around 1.5% and nominal growth of about 2.5% for the next fiscal year from April. This according to two government officials involved in the projection process told Reuters. The projections have not yet been finalised and can change slightly by the time the government announces the figures on Dec. 20.
