Share Senior Analyst Ed Bowsher joins Sue Dougan in the studio to discuss the biggest finance stories of the last 24 hours. On the agenda today: Liberty House plans to submit a formal bid to buy Tata Steel's UK assets; There's a warning the so-called "bank of mum and dad" is being stretched to the brink; The charity Age UK is calling for banks to create age-friendly branches for less digitally aware older people; and finally, pregnant women and new mothers are said to be suffering increasing levels of unfair treatment at work.

With just days to go before Scotland goes to the polls to elect a new devolved parliament, taxation has emerged as a significant issue. The Scottish Parliament is about to take on greater tax-raising powers and Share Radio’s Scottish Correspondent, Maurice Smith, spoke with the leaders of two parties north of the border who want to increase income taxes.

Ed Molyneux, CEO and co-founder of FreeAgent, discussed the research conducted by the online accounting system provider, which found that UK micro-businesses write off £9 billion every year due to unpaid invoices. So how can companies avoid this and is the treasury missing out? Ed also has some useful advice for freelancers.

This week Marc discusses what are different religious communities looking for in a new mayor? In recent weeks’ candidates such as the Tory's Zac Goldsmith and Labour's Sadiq Khan, and others, have all been grilled on what they will do for the capital. But religious communities also have a stake in the vote and have their own concerns that they have been raising during the campaign period. Linda Lewis visits the people behind Cauli Rice an innovative range of low carb, low calory rice made from cauliflower which available in supermarkets. About a year ago Gem Misa was one of the finalists slightly nervously lined up to pitch their business idea to Richard Branson in the annual Virgin competition for start-ups and new businesses. An advertising campaign was part of their prize, Cauli Rice got a lot of media attention. And not long afterwards their innovative range of low carb, low calorie rice made from cauliflower was launched in supermarkets and online. Since then, co-founders Gem Misa and her husband Jamie have raised more investment, won more prizes and are already planning various new flavours and business extras, such as a subscription service for people watching their weight who want their low carbs delivered straight to the door in a regular order. With sales soaring, they've also opened an office in Battersea, South London.

Sarah Pennells is joined by Alex Stephany, a sharing economy expert, author of The Business of Sharing and Chief Executive of Just Park, Sam Stephens, the founder of Streetbank, and Tim Godwin, the Financial Director of Swishing Online, to help understand more about the sharing economy and to help answer some of your burning questions.
