A Brexit balancing act: May heads to Davos
Theresa May is performing a Brexit balancing act. Earlier this week, May laid out her "clean break" from the EU, rejecting a "half in, half out" approach - single market access be damned. But whilst the Brexiteers were pleased - even Nigel Farage gave his blessing - today the Prime Minister faced a tougher crowd. At the World Economic Forum, in front of an international community weary of the cracks appearing in the global free trade project, May offered a reassurance: Brexit certainly means Brexit, but it won't mean a British retreat from the world. Can May have it both ways? Have the globalisers been convinced? Joining Simon Rose all the way from the belly of the beast itself is Steve Clarke, Share Radio's very own man in Davos.

Coming up on Share Radio: President Trump's Inauguration
The time has finally come: Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. After a campaign seemingly exempt from the rules adhered to by past White House contenders, the incoming tweeter-in-chief has left the Washington establishment scratching their heads. Now, America and the world will watch as Mr. Trump pledges to faithfully execute the highest office in the land. For an instant reaction to Trump’s inaugural address, Simon will be joined by Share Radio’s man on the ground Colin Blume, live from the ceremony itself. Simon will also be joined by Sanford Henry, US political commentator, to reflect on what lies in store for America in the Trumpian years ahead.
