Share Politics: NHS cuts 'planned across England'
A joint investigation by the Guardian and the group 38 Degrees has revealed that NHS England bosses are discreetly planning for radical changes in hospitals, including funding cut-backs and closures. The proposals have been designed to cover the increasing funding deficits and swellling demand in the health service. The plans have attracted both positive and negative reactions from the political and professional community. Colin was joined by Eric Watts, chair of Doctors for the NHS, a organisation which pushes for restoration of the NHS as a fully public service.
