2017 has got off to a bad start for PM with the resignation of Britain's EU ambassador Sir Ivan Rogers - how much of a body blow is his departure?
The countdown to the end of March is underway as Prime Minister Theresa May gears up to trigger Article 50. If all goes to plan Britain will formally start negotiations to leave the European Union - however it won't be plain sailing. This month 11 Supreme Court judges will deliberate on the government's appeal against a High Court ruling which said MPs must be consulted before BREXIT goes ahead. There's also the matter of the type of BREXIT Britain will get and whether the EU will play ball. Mrs May isn't the only one nursing a New Year's headache. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is under pressure after Len McClusky - leader of the UNITE union - said Mr Corbyn should step down if his opinion poll ratings remain low. For more analysis Juliette Foster was joined by Rishi Patel of FTI Consulting.

To look back on the year for monetary policy, former Bank of England committee member and Emeritus Professor of Banking and Finance at the London School of Economics Charles Goodhart joined Ed Bowsher in studio.

Revolutionising cancer diagnosis: Greenlight given for new blood test
Last September Share Radio's Ed Bowsher spoke to Cameron Reynolds, CEO of VolitionRX - a diagnostics company developing blood tests for cancer. Current methods for detecting cancer tend to be inaccurate or people simply don't take them, but Volition hopes blood-based tests can pave the way forward. Cameron joined Ed back in the studio to announce some good news for his business: VolitionRX has received its first CE Mark, meaning that it is legally allowed to sell its products in Europe.
